Early Days
Aakash Gupta, the popular comedian, was born on 5th January 1995 in Delhi. He attended the Sumermal Jain Public School. He then graduated from Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, Delhi University with a B.COM. Honors. During his college days, he was first exposed to the theatre. In fact, he was well known as a performer in his college days. During that time, he performed in many stage plays, as well as, street plays. In fact, in his final year at college, Aakash became the president of Native– the theatre society of his college.
First Days Of His Career
After working for a year as an audit associate with KPMG, Aakash quit his job. He focused on learning various forms of theatre. In the meantime, he kept doing comedy shows. He did an internship with Radio Mantra in 2014. He also continued learning Commedia dell’arte and Red Nose Clowning.
In 2014, Aakash Gupta joined Cueless Improv, a Comedy Improv collective in Delhi. In the same year, he performed an open-mic at Akshara Theatre, Delhi. After this performance, he pursued a career in stand-up comedy. Finally, in 2017 he released his first stand-up video on YouTube.
Stand-up Career
Aakash started his stand-up career aster performing at Akshara Theatre. His first two stand-up videos became highly successful. It is after this, that he began his national comedy tours. His 2018 video, Delhi Metro, became viral worldwide.
Moreover, when he participated in Comicstaan 2, he became quickly popular among the audience. With his unique sketch comedic style, he made his way to the finals of the show and ended up winning it. After this, there was no turning back for him. His shows increased, halls started becoming houseful and on YouTube, he became trending. Sarojini Nagar, a video by Aakash, is one of the Indian stand-up videos to go trending #1 on YouTube. His subscribers increased rapidly. In September 2018, he received his YouTube Silver Play Button and in 2020 he got hold of his Golden Play Button. In 2022, his newly released video Paan went #2 trending within 12 hours of release.
OTT Release
Aakash Gupta feature as a part of LOL: Hasse Toh Phase, a comedy reality show on Amazon Prime Video. He also appeared in the first season of Netflix’s Comedy Premium League, in 2021. He also played a lead role in Couple Goals S3, on Amazon Mini TV

Aakash Gupta is married. He married Nikita Sett on 17th October 2021.
