How to make a paper airplane jet

Creating a paper airplane that resembles a jet can be a fun and creative project. Although it won’t actually fly like a real jet, you can design it to have a jet-like appearance. Here’s a simple method to make a paper airplane jet:

Materials needed:

Instructions:

  1. Start with a clean, flat surface and place the paper horizontally (landscape orientation) in front of you.
  2. Fold the paper in half lengthwise, matching the shorter edges. Crease the fold well and unfold it.
  3. Now, take the top-right corner of the paper and fold it diagonally towards the center crease. The corner should meet the center line. Repeat the same step for the top-left corner, so both corners meet at the center line.
  4. Fold the newly formed top triangle down, aligning its bottom edge with the center crease. Crease the fold well.
  5. Take the bottom edge of the paper and fold it up, aligning it with the bottom edge of the top triangle. This fold will create the body of the jet. Crease the fold well.
  6. Fold the paper in half along the center crease so that the top triangle and the body are on the outside, and the folded edges are on the inside.
  7. Next, fold the wings. Measure approximately 1 inch from the center crease towards the bottom of the airplane and make a fold to create the left wing. Repeat the same step on the other side to create the right wing.
  8. To make the tail fins, measure about 1 inch from the back of the airplane on each wingtip and make a small diagonal fold downwards.
  9. Finally, adjust the wings and tail fins as desired to give your paper airplane a jet-like appearance. You can experiment with different angles and shapes to achieve the desired look.

Remember, this paper airplane will not fly like a jet due to its design limitations, but it can certainly look like one. Have fun customizing it with colors and decorations to make it more jet-like if you wish. Enjoy your creative project!
